Mich Turner graduated as a Food Scientist and Nutritionist from University in 1992. She had a keen interest in food from an early age, winning a Devon School’s Cookery competition at the age of 15. She was asked to decorate her A-Level lecturer’s wedding cake at 17. Throughout her degree course she was sponsored by United Biscuits and had first hand experience working at McVitie's monitoring Marks and Spencer Christmas Cake production. After graduating she worked as a Patisserie Buyer at Harvey Nichols until she set up Little Venice Cake Company in 1999.
Mich is a pioneer in the world of Creative Cake Decoration has become the ultimate cake authority, successfully combining her scientific knowledge and understanding of baking with her creative and artistic talent to design show-stopping cakes, judge many competitions, run an award winning business and bring up a young family.

She regularly hosts masterclasses internationally and is a Guest Speaker and demonstrator at many entrepreneurial events, shows and exhibitions. She has filmed her own 6-part series for SKy - Couture Cakes with Mich Turner and is a judge on the new ITV1 HIT show - Britan's Best Bakery.
