Ready Steady Cook - Challenge

Mich Turner's latest challenge has been to set her own challenge to star chefs Paul Rankin and Phil Vickery in BBC2's Ready Steady Cook shown on 20th February 2008. With a bag of ingredients including stem ginger, frozen raspberries, bananas, dark chocolate, amaretti biscuits and mascarpone, the chefs had just 30 secoinds to decide which three mouthwatering dishes they would create. The audience preferred Paul Rankin's selection of steamed ginger pudding, caramelized bananas and chocolate mousse and layered raspberry and mascarpone trifle and voted for him to attempt to make all three in just 10 minutes. Mich tasted the puddings and gave her verdict on all three - particularly enjoying the layered trifle. "I am not a fan of chocolate mousse," she said "and thank goodness, this ginger pudding tastes an an awful lot better than it looks!" she laughed!
