UK National Day – Expo2020 10th February 2022
Every cake is a special project, but Mich and the Little Venice Cake Company were especially delighted to create the cake to represent the nation at UK National Day at Expo2020. The event, held on 10th February 2022 in Dubai was attended by HRH Prince William and Culture Secretary, Nadine Norris. The cake took centre stage in the UK Pavilion and for the VIP reception. Towering over 4 feet tall, with 8 tiers to ’Celebrate Extraordinary’ The design took Mich and her team of 10 pastry chefs over 600 hours, featured 70 hand moulded white sugar roses with 1000 individual petals - a symbol of youth, love, trust and loyalty, representing Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
